KART, the Kings Area Regional Transit system, runs local routes in Hanford and regional routes to nearby towns, including Lemoore, Visalia and Fresno. When a private ride works better

Rides for older adults and their families
We drive older adults to appointments, pharmacies, grocery stores and family visits. The driver helps riders in and out of the car, and a family member can book the ride and stay as the main contact. More on that is on our senior rides page.

Is a private ride the same as a taxi?
Not quite. A private ride is booked ahead for your party, with the price set when you book. Call or text before you need the ride.
Can I book a ride for someone else?
Yes. Give us the rider’s name and phone number as well as yours.
Can the driver wait during an appointment?
Yes. Arrange waiting before the ride, and we explain any added charge before you approve it.
Do you drive outside Hanford?
Yes. We pick up in Lemoore, Visalia and Tulare, and we drive to and from Fresno airport.
